Looking to rent a jet ski for a day or 2 the weekend of the 22nd of April for lake Gaston. I have a truck to tow if necessary.

Does anyone know of/have any good options for this?

yeah we've looked at a place up there and they would be $300/day.

If that's our only option, so be it, but I was hoping someone knew of a better deal, or perhaps if someone owned one, if they would rent it out at a lower price.

yup, $300/day is about right.

unfortunately.

most of that is the liability insurance cost.

At least 2/3 of it is. While a reasonable person is reasonably likely to return a rental car in reasonable condition, reason tends to go out the window with jet skis, and thus they past the cost onto the consumer.
