JESUS. It's VTEC not VTECH. Also it's not the performance minded VTEC setup so nobody really cares.

As to the tow package that car could safely tow a trailer weighted up to 1,000lbs. Just about any car can.

A Honda engine that burns a little bit of oil after only 114k miles is not normal. Those engines should go 200k easy before burning oil if properly cared for. (mine has 292k and doesn't burn oil).

there's a big difference between pulling a number out of a hat and them being informed/discovering all problems. I've had vehicles checked out by multiple dealers, none of which caught several major issues. so I'm sure that there is some room to fall in between those.

I tow all the time with a Civic. I have a standup jet ski on an aluminum trailer and a 4x6 utility trailer. The utility trailer is great for pine straw, mulch, furniture, etc because it's less than 2' off the ground making it very easy to load.

If I didn't own a 3,000 lb boat I wouldn't even own an SUV. Pickups and SUVs are wasted on most people. They'd be better off with a $500 utility trailer that will last 20 years and a comfy sedan that better suits their driving needs while saving $hundreds/thousands per year on gas.
