So I want to cook chicken, and pork...it's so good by itself...that I want to learn their secrets.
I know they have to let that shit just sit there for a while.
Anyone know some people so we can get the down low? 4/22/2012 1:59:44 PM |

I added cumin to my dinner tonight. Wanted something cheap and simple that I already had ingredients for, so I just browned 4 chicken tenderloins in butter with salt and pepper, then added 1/2 diced onion and a diced jalapeno, then a 4 oz can of mushrooms, a can of black beans, and a can of tomatoes and green chillies, season with cayenne pepper and cumin and simmer for like 20 minutes.
Scrumptious and simple dinner plus lunch tomorrow. 4/22/2012 11:06:52 PM |

I'm not sure I have either. I was just commenting on AndyMac's post because I think canned mushrooms are kinda gross.

Obviously fresh are better, but I didn't have any fresh mushrooms.

But yeah I've had mushrooms in mexican food before. Don't know if it was real mexian food or tex-mex though.

^this.
I love cilantro. I'd also add tomato sauce, refried beans, regular beans, tortillas, and (queso) cheese to that list.

lol I was thinking more in terms of spices. Add those five things to any meal and it becomes Mexican 4/23/2012 2:09:16 PM |
