stuff i think should be done on the front page - little work and i see no real drawbacks

- the text "message boards" above the list of message boards on the front page should link to http://thewolfweb.com/message.aspx

- text "Today's Events" should link to today's date in the calendar with all of the day's events.

- text "Random Joke" might as well link to the joke of the day

- another idea for an option in the homepage layout:
a mail section where the subject lines for any new inbox items would be displayed

I can see the first one, and possibly the third and fourth.

But wouldn't the second one be a little redundant? The events are listed right there anyways, why would you want to link to them again?

eh, i guess it would. i was still thinking that it was how it had been; not all events would show up on the front page. even so, i see a benefit in it and no reason not to.

for example, it would allow someone to realize that an event hadn't been posted and to then click to add it.
