Saw it tonight. Enjoyable but not their best.

Looks alright, I may see it on DVD. Sometimes I check these out sometimes not. The upshot is that even if the story sucks the animation is usually pretty awesome. Was it 3D?

It's available in 3D (I think that's standard with kids' movies nowadays).

I hate 3D movies in general, but Wall-E and Up were actually worthwhile in 3D.

So this is the worst-rated Pixar film not involving abject racists. Is it good?

Saw it today with my girlfriend.

Not as good as most Pixar films, but still a good movie.

Cars is way better than this movie.

Pretty animation, but a script that even DreamWorks would turn their noses up at.

The ads make me think How to Train Your Dragon meets Jane and the Dragon... even though there are no dragons. This and Cars 2 are about the only Pixar movies that don't interest me in the slightest.

In reading some early reviews, they really shouldn't force a movie every year if they don't have a story to tell.

it sucks how cliche they decided to go with the script (can anyone say Freaky Friday?)

because there are definitely some very visually stunning parts of the film

I think this is the biggest thing. I feel like this story could have been developed into one that was Pixar-worthy (even if they just did a lot more with Mor'du story), but as it is it just felt rushed and pointed only towards 13-year-old girls (when usually I feel that Pixar movies span age groups, etc)

It wasn't their best stuff but I still thought it was great. For me it was better than both Cars, Finding Nemo, and Bug's Life.

Planning on taking our 4-year old this weekend. I was counting on it being as enjoyable (as Pixar movies usually are) for us adults too.
