My HTC Evo ate both my micro SD cards. My 8gb where I had all my data is lost..gone...kaput. It gets extremely hot when I put it in my computer or phone.

The little 256mb card does not get hot, but both the phone and my computer wants to reformat the card. They say its empty.

Is there anything that can be done?

are you trying to read it on your computer from a card reader / SD adapter, or do you have it in your phone connected via USB?

^Both, by USB it just does not have anything open and by SD card reader it just says "reformat card".
