Jerry Seinfeld's latest endeavor. Not bad. First show, Larry David.

How have you managed to live on this earth on not watch an episode of Seinfeld? It's as equally as baffling as someone not having seen Star Wars.7/21/2012 11:39:18 AM |

Also, if you don't think Seinfeld is funny, how do you find any humor in life? I love & identify w the show bc I find ridiculous humor in everyday life.
With that said, I don't find South Park, Family Guy, Futurama or any of those types of shows funny or worth watching & have yet to make it through an episode before I give up. I understand the jokes & why it's funny but it's just not the brand of humor I enjoy. I guess Seinfeld humor is like that for other people? 7/21/2012 4:40:00 PM |

You can't really justify smugness. Except that being smug is sort of the guys shtick. He uses it to get under peoples skin. And with that he annoys me about half the time. 7/24/2012 1:39:55 PM |

You said you can't justify smugness, then perfectly justified Ricky's public character. Couple that with his repeated success, and I'd say he's on pretty solid ground. 7/24/2012 7:15:38 PM |

Perhaps my statement should have been something like this:
I'm not a huge fan of Ricky Gervais personally, he can be funny but he's the most smug person on earth, and while this level of smugness in real life is unjustified (and never could be justified under any scenario) as a performer is somewhat justified by his stage persona but remains off-putting and annoying.
I guess that was clearer? 7/25/2012 12:01:07 PM |
