I am a PhD student and need to come to centennial campus about once a week. I usually drive but the daily parking permit fee is being raised to $5 a day and it would be great if I could find someone in Cary to ride with that makes the trip regularly to attend classes in the Centennial Campus engineering buildings. My schedule is extremely flexible and I would drive to your home and leave when you left, price negotiable. 8/7/2012 4:58:39 PM |

I live on Thistledown in the townhome community. . you could easily park here and arguably walk there via Main Campus (approx 1.5 miles). I've never seen a single car towed from here in 2.5 years. 8/7/2012 6:39:51 PM |

Buses run from the center of Cary (Amtrack and other locations) to Western on a regular basis, with connections on the wolfline. I took a bike and skipped the wolfline connection. There is a park-n-ride for the 301 route at Big Lots on Kilmayne that is frequented by business types. The bus pass is not free, but has already been paid for by your student fees. Pick one up at the trans office.
Alternatively, several free wolf-line park-n-ride locations exist, price free, and schedules posted.
I also know of several nearby parking lots that fellow grad students have parked in and walked to C-campus.
I am a PhD student who commutes to Centennial campus, recently from Cary, and I approve this message. 8/7/2012 9:29:56 PM |

Just park on Varsity.
Hmmm... I wonder if I could talk my department into paying for my parking under the guise of grant overhead... 8/8/2012 1:46:49 AM |

I'll throw you the code for the parking deck for $20. 8/8/2012 3:02:57 PM |
