if you're hauling a piece of furniture, it won't weigh >1500lbs. you can tow it with whatever you're driving right now 9/11/2012 11:38:31 AM |

Actually looked an LR3 today (05); like what it brings to the table in terms of comfort and features, read pretty polarized stories in terms of reliability. Anyone have any experience? 9/11/2012 8:57:22 PM |

Volvo XC90 is a great SUV. Buddy of mine has one and absolutely loves it. One of the neighbors had one until she wrecked it. Very roomy and well appointed interior, handles well in any road condition. He has the V-8 but doesn't really use it to tow anything so I can't report on how it does in that capacity, but if you're just pulling a trailer I'm sure it will be fine.
I'm not a big SUV fan, but I do like the XC90. 9/11/2012 10:03:17 PM |

Get a wagon. You don't need an SUV for anything you've described, and a car (wagon) does better at being a car than a truck does. 9/11/2012 10:05:50 PM |

or a minivan. a honda odyssey is better at being a car than most wagons 9/12/2012 12:37:59 AM |

I'm morally opposed to anything that remotely resembles a wagon or minivan. 9/12/2012 12:56:05 AM |

I too wish to criticize the OP for wanting an SUV without needing an SUV. 9/12/2012 12:58:50 AM |

I like how the collective gayrage assumes OP will not be using the vehicle to its capacity, possibly offroad, or pulling a larger trailer - who knows what he may do in the future. 9/12/2012 7:31:46 AM |

I've "offroaded" my (lowered) Integra more than 90% of the SUVs out on the road. Since the OP said nothing about off road capability it is a fair assumption to assume than an AWD wagon can do 95% (if not 100%) of what he requires. 9/12/2012 8:50:05 AM |

I have a picture of my civic parked front bumper deep in the New River (on a cell phone some where), but that doesnt take away from the benefit of a 4wd. I suppose its an argument of semantics at this point.

I'm afraid it's most likely been trashed with the phone it was taken with...
Went on a day trip to RiverCamp USA with a friend, we were meeting some people who were doing primitive camping on down the way, and basically had to 4-wheel it to get to their spot 9/12/2012 10:59:00 AM |
