I bet they are 12. Otherwise they would know they are describing Miss State as well except even worse (and without the all time program stats). They havent been good since the late 90s and now they are... circles and cycles, part of the game. Bama and UGA were after thoughts in the late 90s to 2000s

so lets take another week one game, say if Michigan had beat Bama, it would be stupid of them to think positive of that game now just because there happened to be other games since then? makes perfect sense.

and no, I am not "harping on it"... as is plain to see, I only bring it up when State fans talk about UT. Head to head, you lost, so you cant say shit. Saps at least gets it. They are going to spend all season trying to "get back" at me by bringing up anytime UT loses. Its extremely juvenile, especially since State would probably have lost all the games as well, but we dont know for sure, just as we dnt know if UT would have beat FSU. But the one thing we do know for certain is that UT beat State. Should be end of discussion.

Straws? If by straws, you mean the body of work that has been Tennessee football, then yes, you would be right.

If there were a relevant thread where said quotes could be added, I would consider it, if somebody blindly defended Tennessee football with orange-colored pants on.

You see, jaybee, I happen to enjoy college football, and I especially enjoy good college football, and when State isn't playing I watch the premiere SEC games. I also like pulling for the underdog. Mississippi State historically has only won 38 percent of their games against SEC opponents and hadn't beaten Tennessee since Peyton was a freshman.

One of the subtle nuances of college athletics that I find particularly interesting are the interactions between fans. I read VolNation and then the Mississippi State boards, to get their reaction to the game.

After all, it isn't like you haven't done the same. If this weren't an NC State sports board, would you provide quotes from unccheat or Tennessee fans about NC State athletics? Chances are, no. But then again, that is what makes it fun, does it not?

1. Mississippi State was ranked in the top 25, was at home, and was favored. Not sure if they were an underdog.

2. You do know I worked for NC State, and went to school there right? I didnt just randomly come to a State message board and start posting stuff. It not like I am posting anything on an Iowa State message board. So, anything I post about State is as a TN/State fan, not a TN fan somehow "trolling". I dont troll.
