I could not post to the thread from April.
Long story short: a girl backed into my car and did a small amount of damage to the panel in front of the rear tire. I need to get estimates but I'd like some recommendations on work that will be good but not real expensive in the North Raleigh area, though downtown/NCSU/Garner area would be fine since I work downtown.
Basically, I'd like to get my car fixed but I'm not trying to be a dick about it. 9/25/2012 11:03:16 PM |

I had my car fixed at Coats Auto Body on S. Saunders St. a few years back and they did great work. Their place did get demolished by the tornado last year but looks like they have a temp location in Garner. 9/25/2012 11:55:32 PM |

I had RJ&G on Hillsborough Street put a new bumper/cover on the Alero after someone rear-ended me in July. The work was done right and on time. The other girl's insurance paid for it, but the charges didn't look too out of line when I saw the invoice. I'd have no problem recommending their work. 9/26/2012 1:35:23 AM |

I've had Performance Auto Body in Cary do some work to my S2000 on 2 separate occasions and I heartily recommend them. Their level of quality is top notch. They also have a Garner location but I've always been to the Cary shop. 9/26/2012 8:17:57 AM |

^,^^,^^^ Thanks. I've got an appointment at RJ&G because they're the closest. Depending on what they tell me and what the chick that hit me thinks I may check out the other two. I appreciate the recommendations. 9/26/2012 7:16:08 PM |

i went to coats a while back and it was the best body shop experience i've ever had. finished on time, as promised, and it looked great (even with hard-to-match pearl paint) and they were able to take care of my special requests that i gave them in the middle of the job 9/27/2012 2:57:35 PM |

You probably already had this taken care of, but I've had Tru2Form in Garner do work on my BMW twice, and they've done excellent work both times. 9/27/2012 4:30:56 PM |

I second True2Form, which is now owned by Gerber Collision and glass. They do good work. 9/27/2012 6:47:54 PM |

I got an estimate from RJ&G, they're talking $1250 and 4 days. I'm going to try a couple more places to see if it can be done for less. I had been planning on Coats since that's close to work but I might try Tru2Form first. 9/28/2012 8:13:14 PM |

Whatever you do don't take it to True 2 Form off Westgate. I could do into every excruciating detail if needed, but they fucked up nearly everything they did to my vehicle. In fact the only things they didn't fuck up were the things they subbed out to other businesses. 9/28/2012 9:43:39 PM |
