I have two pieces of 1.25'' ballistic glass that were cut from a gas station remodel. They are very roughly 12" square. (could be 11x13, 12x12 or around there)
This is the same material you see in bank teller windows as well.

I had 4 pieces to start with, and shot one to bits to test its rating, and turned the second into a bullet proof camera case.

The unsupported tested piece took 2-9mm, 2-.40, 2-.357sig, and 3 rounds of .223 before penetration. (your results may vary)

I am looking to get $25 a piece for these, obo.
I am located in Charlotte. This can be shipped, but it is not super light.

I made the camera case so that I could drop the camera down range and hurl .223 at it in classes, and not be afraid of someone accidentally shooting it, and so spawl from steel would not damage it.

I used a jig saw to cut it. It wasn't easy, but it wasn't difficult either.

Here is an ugly picture of what I made:
I used a ~5" wide cut to make the face and bottom. The thickness allowed me to tap the plastic and use bolt to hold it together. The benefit of bolts, is that if it does take a hit, I can cut a new face for it. I also used CA glue on the joints. The side has a flap with rubber hinge to allow access to the camera. The other piece was used as a shield for the tripod (they aren't cheap either)

Very nifty. The Mythbusters drag that stuff around everywhere, but I've read that most of their crew injuries come from accidents with the ballistic glass itself.

I've definitely been in situations where I really wished I had a piece of that in front of my face.

This is thicker that what myth busters uses.
IIRC, in one of their episodes they discovered that their shields weren't actually ballistic rated.
