Interesting, though I hope they have minor roles. After X-Men 3 I don't want any actor that will remind me of the old series... besides, I thought they rebooted. I can't really remember, maybe they had very brief cameos in First Class.

Hah, yeah, that's what I was getting at. Fox still owns the X-Men rights as far as I know, but future movies after their agreement expires would be under the Disney/Marvel banner.

It's kinda of sad that Kelsey Grammer isn't going to portray Beast. I thought he was awesome in Last Stand, but I never saw First Class. How was Hoult's portrayal?

Nope, Sentinels. So correct me if I'm wrong but originally Bishop is supposed to come from the future to fix everything (an assassination of a senator I think? By Mystique disguised as Gambit?)? It looks like instead they are sending Wolverine to the past. Not sure what role Bishop will have in this case.

the original had kitty pryde go the past, the 90s series had bishop come from the future, this film has kitty pryde transfer wolverine to the past AND bishop come from the future

Doesn't really make much sense though since if he can travel in time they could have just sent him back further.

Well they've said that this one will tie all the movies together. I've got a pretty simple theory of how they can do it, of course this is pure speculation:
The timeline setup in First Class does not lead to the original 3 movies, but to the fucked up future we see in this one. Logan goes back, changes shit, timeline is now aligned to lead into original trilogy.

Wolverine was still having dreams about Jean and stuff in his movie from this last summer, so it was def set after the events of X-Men 3. The post credits scene had Professor X in it in his regular body, obviously foreshadowing to the events of Days of Future Past. So it seems to me that they are acknowledging X3 in this. But then again, it hasn't exactly been the most consistent series (Sabertooth and Emma Frost, I'm looking at you). They could always just come up with some Deus Ex Machina by introducing a new mutant that can somehow reconstruct Professor X's body or making a clone or something.
