Do you even remember?
Back Story: For Christmas, I'm converting all of our old 8mm home movies to digital. Every single tape hasn't been rewound so I have to wait 3 whole minutes to start the encoding. Then, as a courtesy to the next person, which will probably be no one after this, I'm rewinding all the tapes after I use them. Just hearing the noise is like having my brain scrambled back 15 years in the past.
tl;dr Be kind, please rewind. 12/5/2012 7:01:12 PM |

you shouldn't use your VCRs rewinding motors. better buy that separate unit. 12/5/2012 7:08:34 PM |

It's actually the video camera's rewinding motors I'm using.
but yeah, people went and bought a whole separate device just to rewind tapes so you didn't need to use your VCR. Crazy. We never watched videos enough to warrant one of those. 12/5/2012 7:12:13 PM |

we always used our VCRs to rewind, this is the first I'm hearing that it was bad for them. 12/5/2012 7:43:46 PM |

I still rewind on my DVR as well as Netflix. Does that count? 12/6/2012 12:10:53 AM |
