Alright, I've had this problem for a while and have searched the 'Net, but there were either unresolved answers or bad ones, so I'm turning to you, T-Dub.

I want to access a website like samueladams.com or something to that effect. I can get to the main page every once in a while. I put in my age verification information and I time out.

I can change browsers, I still time out.

I can be on a different network, I still time out.

Only thing that works is being on a different computer, but that's just a workaround..it doesn't actually fix the issue.

I've done the ipconfig thing twice, deleted all of my cookies and browsing history, checked for viruses, etc. Hasn't fixed the problem yet.

I have no problems visiting 98-99% of the sites I want to visit. It's just a handful where I run into these problems. I'm just glad that I haven't come across a site that I really needed to get to. Anybody have any ideas what's going on? Thanks!

My recommendation: format your hard drive and start over. It takes like an hour.

I was hoping that wouldn't be the only option, but if that'll work, then that's what I'll do.

You could have been blacklisted by the website

or it could have been a false positive in something like Adblock Plus

You say a different computer works, What about a different browser?

On another computer, can you check to see if you're redirected to a slightly different URL than the original one you started with? If so, go straight there on your busted PC and see what happens. Anything weird in your hosts file? How about running a scan with something like malwarebytes?

Sorry for the stream of consciousness, but that's how I roll

ipconfig /flushdns
if that doesn't work, try manually setting your dns to a public dns like opendns or google dns (8.8.8.8)
