Also, do you work remote? Also, how long is your lunch break?
This has been a Krallum query

I technically get an hour but most days I eat at my desk (and not work) or go take a walk around the lake on our campus or read over lunch and then eat at my desk while working.

Usually this. Lunch is normally one of three things:
- Leftovers from previous night's dinner
- Sandwich and chips that I made
- Delivery or walk-to-pick-up from a close by restaurant
I've been clocking a lot of hours on an online program for a contracting job I just recently got assigned....so every minute spent clocked in is an extra minute I can get out of the office earlier.12/18/2012 8:33:34 AM |

Usually work from the office, but it's not uncommon for me to work from home. When I am in the office, I just eat at my desk and work through lunch. If you do take a lunch break, there is not set limit on how long it can be... As long as at the end of the week, you have at least 40 hours 12/18/2012 8:34:58 AM |

Yup, our time is billed based on what project we work so I can take as little or as long as I want technically. Its weird here, people who come in at 7 almost never take a lunch and then people who come in at 9 almost always do

^^^ we bill our time that way as well but we have so much inter-coordination that we basically have a courtesy schedule because otherwise it becomes inconvenient to the other people we're working with on our project. 12/18/2012 8:48:49 AM |

they force us to take a one hour lunch. apparently too many people were taking 30 min lunches and then leaving 30 minutes early to go to their kids' athletic events or something and then not using their vacation time.
I usually just cut up a bunch of carrots at the beginning of the week and bring some cottage cheese/crackers and just eat those as a snack while I watch netflix at my desk. 12/18/2012 9:34:29 AM |

sometimes no theoretically, 1 hour
There's no real limit/policy on lunches, it's just more of, have at least 40 billable hours/week and get your work done.
I typically eat at my desk while working; however, I will use my "lunch break" to go run errands when I have them. 12/18/2012 9:42:31 AM |

I take a lunch break. Work in office 3 days & remote 2 days. Usually 30 mins, but sometimes go out to lunch and take around an hour. I tend to make up for lost time by coming in early most days. 12/18/2012 10:11:19 AM |

Yes. Remotely, though I do have an office space at my company's campus.

Sometimes bring leftovers, but mostly just grab something from the hospital and eat at my desk. Occasionally go out to Franklin Street, and a couple of times even gone to Durham. Also if time allows I will use that as gym time and do that or just get out and walk. Can't really work remotely, and I get an hour.

I get an hour break
In our new building we're not allowed to eat at our desk, which sucks because it's hard to run errands on your break and eat at the same time. So I just run my errand for an hour, and then come back and eat in the cafe after I'm done (that takes about 30min). Change the rules and I won't take more than an hour. 12/18/2012 1:00:21 PM |

yes, i usually take a lunch break that's anywhere from 60-90 minutes, depending on the day...i'm less than 10 minutes from home, so i usually just go there, let the dogs out, and read or watch something from the DVR...or run errands or do a small project around the house
i work from home when i feel like it, but not that often...our company supports flex scheduling, so i'm thinking about moving to 4 10-hour days per work week...or 44/36 schedule (9 hours MTWT and and alternating fridays of 8 hours and out)

yes I take lunch
I can telework two days a week and most likely that is going to go up to three in the near future, office policy right now is two days though. Lunch is 30 minutes though we can combine our breaks and make it a hr.
I also work 9 hrs 8 days and 8 hrs 1 day and get off one day.
