My wife wants an acoustic electric guitar and an amp she can plug in both the guitar and her microphone into. I know less than nothing about musical instruments, TWW to the rescue!
What should I get, where should I be looking? I'm in Greensboro, so local stores to gboro and Raleigh are fine, I'm also fine with buying online. Not looking to spend more than a couple hundred unless I have to in order not to buy junk.
She isn't a pro, but she loves playing and will use both a lot. 12/18/2012 1:04:32 PM |

Thanks everybody, I'm always skeptical of big retail stores, but I'll check out guitar center tomorrow. 12/18/2012 7:20:52 PM |

guitar center is like wal-mart.
that said, an entry level acoustic electric and an amp combo will be cheapest there.
i'd recommend a lower model Ovation Celebrity series, for your price range. They're decent acoustic-electrics.
As for an acoustic amp, the Dean Markley AG15 15 watt amp is a bare-bones, portable amp that's easy to lug around. And it's usually < $100 12/18/2012 10:21:05 PM |
