Saw this a couple weeks ago at a free advanced screening. Definitely the funniest movie I've seen so far this year, 50 times better than hangover 3. I was literally laughing the entire time, it was very well done. Go see it!

Was pretty fucking hilarious. Franco makes it worth it for me--I never like him because he's such a monstrously smug and self-important douche... but that's exactly how he portrayed himself in the movie. Was fantastic. Michael Cera being the only person playing themself "wrongly" is a riff on the joke that all of Cera's characters are 1) the same and 2) how Cera behaves anyway.

But yeah, I loved everyone in this basically, honestly didn't think there were many weak points in the central cast. Pleasantly surprised by Jonah Hill too.

I think I'm going to see this again by myself.

Also, I read some reviews and realized that the Internet has totally desensitized me. This movie is supposedly super raunchy and inappropriate, and I didn't come away thinking that at all. I just thought it was continuously hilarious.

I did think the movie looked to easy to make. Like, these guys are funny as hell, and I totally approve, but I wouldn't necessarily want to encourage this type of film-making from others. Lazy comedy can turn out really, really bad.

^Dude...I'm kinda tripped out that, after two days of no posts, we both thought to comment in this thread at almost the same time.

The movie was basically a bunch of dudes getting together and shooting themselves doing funny shit. Anybody can do that. These guys happen to be pretty funny though especially McBride. I was crying during the penthouse scene. They shouldn't have listened to people and shot the ending. I'd wait for redbox. Better than the CG fest disaster porn out there right now I'm sure.

Saw the movie over the weekend, thought it was hilarious, wife did not. I could have done without the jumpy scary parts, I thought my wife was going to go into labor when the demon jumped through the house.

Saw a review that called this the greatest stoner film in the last decade. While that may be debatable, it was definitely the best straight-up comedy I've seen in a long time.

I would say that raunchy and inappropriate are understatements for this film.

Was very funny and laughed throughout. You're a prude if you only think teenagers would find this stuff funny.

The last half did feel a bit disjointed but the Whitney scene made up for that as I laughed pretty hard.

I also would like to know how high Backstreet Boys sales on iTunes spiked after this movie was released.

ok, I just saw this movie today and I think it was worse than I expected, too much reference to cum for my taste..... and the giant demon dick was errr hilarious and all, so was all the titty fucking.... but I dunno, I have seen much better.

and wtf backstreet boys? but I wasn't high, so that may have been why I was confused.

That shit was pretty funny. Danny McBride was gold and everyone else had their moments as well. Michael Cera in the beginning was hilarious. Jonah Hill possessed was pretty good. The beginning party and all of it's little jokes was really good.

It dragged in some parts, but overall was consistently funny. I can see why it won't appeal to everyone (my fiancee wouldn't have liked it...which is why I went without her)...but it definitely appealed to me. I'm also not in love with every one of those actors...but they did well in this collaboration.

Jay Baruchel was such a downer and not funny at all. The movie would have been better off without him.

Overall, I thought it was pretty funny but I wasn't loling the entire time.

Michael Cera in that light was the best part of the movie and I wish Aziz had more of a role. Backstreet Boys at the end was pretty funny - damn those guys look weird doing those dance steps as old as they are.
