Because everyone needs a credibility watch thread these days right? As someone who was nominated to run for President, who is a veteran, and who has chaired the Senate foreign relations committee, he brings some stature to the job, although it's probably still hard to be as prominent as his predecessor. What do you think, good or bad pick for the job?

I HOPE HE CALLED ISRAEL BEFORE PALESTINE!!!!! GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!







I expect he will be fine. He is used to flip-flopping being diplomatic and hob-nobbing with elites. I would love to see a world windsurfing tour, where he takes dignitaries out and then talks about peace and stuff.

He's fine on policy but he never possessed the brand of charisma a president needs to get elected.
