Say i have two shiny things and want to know which is chrome dipped and which is nickle plated
can i use testers at two points of a set distance from one another on the surface of said shiny things and determine which is chrome and which is nickle based on their electrical resistance alone?
things i didn't learn in kindergarten 4/12/2013 7:17:10 PM |

Theoretically you can use the impedance to identify two materials.
But I really doubt you have an instrument sensitive enough to do so.
So I will say no.

If you can, compare the objects with known chrome or nickel plated objects under a good light source. 4/14/2013 9:47:50 PM |
