Quote : | "S 240.33 AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT OF A POLICE OFFICER OR PEACE OFFICER. A PERSON IS GUILTY OF AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT OF A POLICE OFFICER OR PEACE OFFICER WHEN, WITH THE INTENT TO HARASS, ANNOY, THREATEN OR ALARM A PERSON WHOM HE OR SHE KNOWS OR REASONABLY SHOULD KNOW TO BE A POLICE OFFICER OR PEACE OFFICER ENGAGED IN THE COURSE OF PERFORMING HIS OR HER OFFICIAL DUTIES, HE OR SHE STRIKES, SHOVES, KICKS OR OTHERWISE SUBJECTS SUCH PERSON TO PHYSICAL CONTACT. " |
So why aren't the existing assault laws insufficient to protect the police?6/6/2013 1:18:55 PM |

"harass or annoy" means if you film me, I will be annoyed and take you to jail. 6/6/2013 1:29:26 PM |

From reading that quote it sounds like there has to be physical contact, how is that different than "assaulting an officer" which pretty much every jurisdiction has a law for that 6/6/2013 1:42:49 PM |
