I am looking to redo my boat's stereo and I am needing the following supplies:

10' 1/0 gauge wire
15' 4 gauge wire
2 distribution blocks 1/3
250 amp circuit breaker/inline fuse

Anyone have suggestions? Soundstation, etc?

You need tinned wire so make sure it is labelled as such, otherwise you can get corrosion problems.

"Tinning" is a soldering technique. Not sure how you can purchase "tinned" wire unless it comes in pre-stripped, dedicated lengths.

Skack, sorry for not responding sooner. The project started as me wanting to add a pair of Rev 10's to the tower with the Wetsounds Syn 4 amp pushing 400 watts to each speaker. After reviewing what was installed before i bought the boat, I ended up having to gut out everything and re-wire. Had to run new 12 gauge tower wire, install Syn 4 amp, mount and wire the tower speakers, 0 guage from batteries with 250 amp inline fuse. This ran into a distribution block with 4 gauge out to the 3 amps currently in the boat. 1 amp for in-boat speakers, 1 for sub, 1 for tower speakers. Also added a relay for the radio turn on wires.

Hard part was trying to incorporate the system with our Battery Selector and Voltage Sensor Relay.

Rev 10's are amazing! Crystal clear when riding and loud as hell. They were so loud that my wife let me order the Wetsounds EQ so I can separate the tower speakers from in-boats. That way we can have it quieter in the boat while riders are up. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

I think Rev 10's are the speakers CarZin has on his new boat...They are rad as fuck!

I'm in a similar boat with wanting to add tower speakers to my system. The boat came with two Kenwood amps that were adequate, but I couldn't leave well enough alone. Right now I have a 5 channel Kicker amp powering four Polk MM625's and a Rockford 10" subwoofer. I have Focal tower speakers, but they were throwing the amp into protection mode and I don't want to run anything off the head unit. Planning to add a 2-channel amp dedicated to the tower speakers when I get the time. I have a Rockford Fosgate amp ready to install, but I have to move my heater/blower hoses to make it fit where I want it. I ran 0 gauge power wire when I installed the amp, so I should be covered when I get the time to add the distribution block and second amp.

I don't know how people are running multiple pairs of these things. I have seen installs with 6 pairs of Rev 10's. Let me know if you need any help or recommendations for the install. I have about 50' of 12 gauge 4 conductor tower wire you could have and it would save you probably $60. If you already have the 0 gauge, the 4 gauge shouldn't be much more expensive. I ended up spending quite a bit of money on wire, but it is worth it now as i don't have to worry if I decide to continue adding components. Yeah we basically rewired the entire system. I will try to get some pics today. If you need any help, let me know. It was a bitch to run everything but I am glad I took the time to do it right. Once we cranked those things up, I was grinning from ear to ear.

^ I could use that that tower speaker wire if you don't want it. I just got my tower powder coated and need to replace the wiring for my speakers and my light bar when they go back up.

I am good on power wiring for the amp. My amps and batteries are mounted under the dash on the passenger side of the boat, so I have pretty short runs to everything. I have plenty of leftover wire I can use for that at the moment.

Did you sell some Liquid Force Ultra Suction bindings on here about 5-6 years ago? I think I sent that post to my brother and he might have bought them from you if so.

Carzin has two pairs of Wetsounds and they're plenty loud. I can't imagine what six pairs would sound like. I have one pair of Focal speakers, but each pair consists of two MB Quart 6.5" woofers and a tweeter (total = 4 woofers, two tweeters for the pair). They're plenty loud without adding anything more to the tower. I almost want to downgrade to those Bazooka speakers with a forward facing 5.25" woofer and a rear facing 6.5" woofer in a single wide can. I'd bump my head a lot less if I did.

marine wire is electroplated in tin to help with corrosion protection. Very important IMO if you want it to last more than a year or two, especially on exposed connections.
