A mmrtt P4F game - will incorporate tanks, planes, and ships.

Currently only the plane portion is playable in a extended beta test. The graphics are pretty good and the physics are even better in Historic or Full Real Battle mode.

Massively multiplayer real time tactics, play for free.

Similar I'm told to world of warplanes but less pay to win, better graphics, more realistic flight models, and ammunition.

Planned German Plane Tree - a significant number of these are in game already.



The grind is more rewarding as you get more fully functional units more often. There are special ammo belts and bombs that can be unlocked but they are relatively cheap and relatively easy to unlock. The starter ammo is more than sufficient to destroy any other plane.

In arcade you're better off with a simple mouse and keyboard control as opposed to a joystick. So don't feel you will be handicapped playing if you don't have a flight sim stick.

There are 3 modes of multiplayer.

Arcade - simplified controls (mouse and keyboard is best), straight forward round goals. 10-40 players total, matchmaking based on plane tier groups 1-20. lead indicator. enemy notification and marking

Historic - typically 1 countries airforce vs. another. no tiered matchmaking afaik. set piece battle objectives. Historic locations. More realistic flight models (flat spins and stalls). Greater rewards and costs. Mouse and keyboard or Joystick. no lead indicator, no enemy marking.

Full Real Battle - game makes you do everything, from adjusting prop pitch to the fuel mixture in the engine. Full controls only. Forced cockpit view only. Must take off at start and compensate for prop rotation. Joystick highly recommended. Biggest rewards.

I started playing two nights ago and I'm already seriously enjoying this game. I'm only Rank 5 (Rank 4 USA... all I been playing so far) and wonder if I should switch to other countries. I like the more agile, maneuverable planes (bombing is fun but slow). Arcade is simple and enjoyable. I haven't tried the "real" battle yet.

I can see this game being super fun if played with a group. I know reddit has a crew.

Played a little last night, it's fun but I find the attitude controls to be waaay too sensitive. I am using a joystick and put the roll, pitch, and yaw sensitivity all the way down but the planes I'm using are still turning all over the place way faster than they should.

I just did some of the basic tutorial missions and tried one online match. I was in some kind of RAF biplane on the online one -- I mostly got my ass kicked but I attribute that to my squadron having no organization at all. As soon as the game started everyone just flew around doing their own thing.

You can't use a joystick in Arcade mode. You'll get butchered. Joystick for Simulator/Full Real Battles only. Possibly for Realistic/Historic.

Use mouse and keyboard with mouse aim for arcade.

It's out of beta.

I play with the goons. But feel free to drop me a line if you want to squad up sometime. I usually play after 7pm EST during the week (if at all) and randomly during the weekends.

Tanks out in Open Beta! In many ways far better than WoT! NO HITPOINT nonsense.

German and Russian nations are active for tanks.

The game just went live on PSN (for PS4) so you can play it on that as well if you chose. You'll be playing against pc players as well as PS4 players.

Simulator Tanks are usually combined arms games meaning players in planes, players in tanks.

WT Tanks is pretty fun. I'm pretty unhappy with their UI (although I have heard that it's been getting updates since I last played). I have to say that I do still prefer WoT though. Might just be that I have played it way more at this point.

WT tanks is very rough still. Things should get better, none of that HP junk like WoT. More tanks, more maps.
