Just finishing up watching "Out of the Wild: Venezuela". Really good show. A far cry from the sensationalism of Bear Grylls, etc.

There's a handful of different shows like this on Netflix, eventually I'll probably get around to all of them. Some seem more cheesy than others, though ("Man, Woman, Wild" comes to mind).

Anyone else into these kind of shows?

there was one on last night where the dude wouldn't quit whining about how tired he was and how much work he had been doing (not much)

meanwhile, the girl made a lobster trap and was making a raft to go back out and retrieve it

The lack of caloric intake probably does affect the guys more severely: but damn, grow a pair (nobody forced you to be on this show!)

I hate that naked and afraid show because they pick the dumbest muscle bound grotesques as dudes and then SHOCKER they suck at enduring the elements.

Ex-military doesn't mean ex-special forces.

I like Naked and Afraid also, just seen a couple episodes though.

Don't like it as much as Dual Survival yet though.
