If you aren't watching this then you need to. One of the funniest shows to come from Comedy Central in a while.

Duncan Trussell (Warren Wilson alum) did one of the early, online Drunken History installments

it was about Tesla and was fucking great

I didn't know there was a series of these online, will definitely check those out. I was pretty surprised at some of the big name actors they get for these.

The first few videos were funnier than anything I saw in the one episode of the show I've watched.

the gap of time between the original web series and the Comedy Central series is funny to me

still holding out hope that CC turns YACHT ROCK into a show

yeah, i was wondering about the gap.

i'm kinda surprised they made it into a tv show. comedy central seems to continue to push the line (with "shit" on South Park and continuous drug references on Workaholics)

I watched them on youtube a while back, I don't really remember much though aside from Micheal Cera playing Alexander Hamilton and Jack Black as Ben Franklin. They made me laugh quite a bit.

The thing about Yacht Rock is that you could just run the original series in its entirety in a 90 minute slot, but the music clearances would be insane (not to mention the Michael Jackson estate probably doesn't like the portrayal).

It's also great because it's educational and funny. I've learned a lot.

still funny and educational... and I assume the lady in the second American Horror Story was based on Nellie Bly. I was unaware of that story.

I love this show...yeah the original videos were better I think, but the show is still great

My favorite parts are when the drunk person breaks from the story for some reason (talking to their pet or just making weird "I'm really drunk and might puke" noises and the actors act it out or just look at the camera like, "WTF?"

Also the Dolly Parton one from last season was great. "Did I sing?" ... "Oh man, did you ever"

ONe of the best shows on TV.

I didn't realize Kris Kristofferson was a Rhodes Scholar/Boxer/Football player/Air Force Major General and helicopter pilot, quit the military and worked as a janitor at Columbia records and his family permanently disowned him for it.

[Edited on July 16, 2014 at 10:08 AM. Reason : and it's "Drunk History", not "Drunken History"]

Watched this tonight. Pretty good.

Did not know the national anthem was formerly a drinking song (tune that is).

I knew about the Lincoln assassination attempt in Baltimore, but didnt realize it was quite that bad.

Tonight's should be interesting, it's about Hollywood:

Walt Disney & Steamboat Willie.
Orson Welles & Citizen Kane.
Nancy convincing movie-star Ronald to enter politics.

Badger from Breaking Bad was the drunk story teller in the most recent one, and Glen from Walking Dead was one of the actors on last week's (or the week before).

Just saw the one about Francis Cleveland (Grover's wife). Freaking hilarious. Best one yet.
