so new mobos like ASUS x79 deluxe have this feature called hdd caching that is supposed to be like having an ssd.

does that mean i don't need to buy an ssd for my new puter build?

pretty sure you have to have an ssd for it to work

buy ssd, stop being jew. If you request data that is not cached it has to searched on the drive.

^^^ Agreed. This feature might make sense if SSDs weren't under $1/GB but... they are.

Get the SSD. It's probably the single greatest upgrade you can get.
