I need a webcam for one of the Associations I work for to broadcast live streams on youtube.

I would need it to be a plug and play into an USB port, obviously and moutable on a tripod, pole, etc.

My question is...does anyone know if there is one that I can link audio to other microphones.

Say instead of it having only one mic on the camera...I am watching a meeting with ten people...can I link a mic on the table to that camera and have it feed the audio? They would need to pass the mic or have it centralized obviously.

anyone?

what is your budget? because what you want exists, but a lot of them aren't cheap.

Can you not just plug in a different mic and tell your live stream software to use your external (Line In) mic plug instead of the usb webcam mic or internal laptop mic?

That's typically how I'd accomplish it.

Like this:

^Yeah, every recording app supports selecting separate audio and video input devices/sources.

The two best webcam options you have are the Microsoft Lifecam Studio 1080P HD
http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-LifeCam-Studio-Webcam-Q2F-00013/dp/B0096KSBB0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1383801339&sr=1-1

or the Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Webcam-Widescreen-Calling-Recording/dp/B006JH8T3S/ref=zg_tr_172511_3

Both record well at 720p and support 1080p (but not with the included software). Both are tripod mountable. Other than that there are tons of tradeoffs for each one. Neither is the clearcut best out there, but either one will likely do just fine for what you're doing.

perfect, that is exactly what I want/need.

The association will be buying it as a one time deal and will use it multiple times throughout the year so cost is a bit of a factor but not that important.

Perfect! thanks TWW!
