I use this on all the things




Haven't been using this one long, but I love it. Wanna try out some more Badia spices




and while I usually make my own marinades, this is Stubbs household.

started using this recently. really like it. not too much salt.


this is awesome on pork chops, pork tenderloin, etc.


plowboy's yardbird is good on anything, but you have to be careful cause it's easy to get too salty with it.


Cavender's is awesome. good on beef, chicken, pork. my favorite seasoning for deer. cubed deer steak saute'd or grilled, backstrap on the grill.


Tony Chachere's is really good if you want a little more heat. i like it on chicken and grilled fish.

Doesn't Cavenders prominently list MSG as a main ingredient? Does taste great, though.

Second the Stubbs and Chachere's.

My home dry rub is pretty much an even mixture of onion powder / garlic powder / black pepper. I actually mix it and keep it in its own shaker because it goes on almost everything unless I'm going cajun. I really don't like to salt my foods very much because people differ so much on their tolerance range for salt.

this stuff is an old staple. poultry magic is better than all the others and tastes better on beef than the beef blend.

great marinade but also this is seriously the best salad dressing I've ever had, especially for field greens. I eat a salad a day and never get sick of this.

Yeah...I'm not sure if we should care though. Outside of some people being insensitive to it, is it actually "bad" for us?

i go through a lot of spices making bbq rubs and i've found that i come out way ahead by buying the big bottles off amazon, especially with our prime membership.

i don't like garlic salt... i prefer to have salt and garlic separate so i can control the ratio to taste.

I was the "other TWWer" that recommended the Garlic Expressions a while ago...that is easily my favorite go-to marinade for just about everything. Works great for veggies and meats, as well as a simple salad dressing. I've only gotten it at Earth Fare, but I'm sure you could find it at Whole Foods or Fresh Market (I don't know what else they have in NC). They have a website as well...but I think you can only get in bulk.

They have it at my local Kroger in the produce section near the Marie's dressings (Strickland and Falls) and the definitely have it at Whole Foods. I've seen it at Food Lion and Lowe's Foods near my grandparents (Calabash, NC) so I'm pretty sure it's becoming more widespread.

Sorry to not give you credit JBrick but it's hard for me to keep up with all the shit I read on here and who says what. That stuff is fucking epic though, so thanks for the tip. I seriously have a field greens salad a day wit that stuff on it, and put it on everything where it makes sense (gyros, subs, collards, etc.)

forgot to mention this:



you can get it at the farmer's market - not sure where else but it's the absolute best bbq sauce (better than bone suckin' sauce).

has anyone ever tried this stuff? I've seen it near the meat section and have always been curious but it's like $8. It's from a famous steak house in NYC.

As far as the magic seasonings go, I like the blackened redfish magic the best. Works really well on chicken. For creole type seasonings Tony Chachere's is indeed pretty good, but it's also not hard to mix yourself up some of Emeril's Essence seasoning. The recipe is no secret and there's nothing too exotic in it, but it's quite good.

Lupo's speidie marinade....upstate NY represent. They make a shit load of flavors now, but the original Speiedie Marinade is the best. Great on chicken or pork!

You can get it at some grocers, online, or at Roma Pizza in cary, nc...as they continue to rep Endicott, NY/Binghamton, NY sheet pizza.

I finally got some of that Garlic Expressions stuff...so damn good.

Speaking of dressings, sometimes I buy that orange dressing from the Japanese places in quarts. Trying to find a good copycat recipe...

my father in law gave me a bottle of their habanero hot sauce and it was phenomenal. not too hot but really good flavor. (they have a hotter habanero variety too... and a ghost chili sauce... if that's what you are looking for)

This stuff is the heat (other flavors are great as well). I have never has better chicken thighs and whenever I can't find this in stock at whole foods I am reminded of that as my other options just fail so bad.

Never tried it with anything but chicken.

I use Tonys creole seasoning on almost any "white meat" I throw in my own blackening seasoning on fish

And salt grass steakhouse "seven" on anything beef

Deer and wild game I don't use much more than garlic butter salt and pepper.

Just used some long ago purchased Plutos on some bone-in chicken thighs and the shit it pretty legit

Trader Joe's Island Soyaki is fucking awesome. Best on pork and chicken. We've been using it mainly for pork tenderloins when we have people over for dinner and everyone raves about it. They also have a Sriracha BBQ sauce that's a nice spicy alternative to your regular sauce.
