She often takes an entire progression too long. Granted, this video is from quite a while ago, so maybe she's better now. But a lot of people point to this "Electric Feel" video as some grand achievement, and it isn't.

oh come on, the RHCP and Killers songs are good, and the girl with the stupendous rack does a passable job on them.

Going to California is a good song, too (not my favorite Zeppelin tune, but still a good song). Her cover of it isn't very good, though. Not a total train wreck, but I only made it through 30 seconds, tops.

A lot of these are just webcam recordings by obvious amateurs. I'm sure they could record 100 times to make it as perfect as they can get but that's awfully cynical to expect.

Besides, you say they should do better if they are posting this for your consumption but there's no one holding a gun to your head forcing you to be the professional critic of the internet's content. Just choose not to consume it.

Youtube is just another tool, but it sometimes does work.
Eilidh McKellar, a guitar chick from Scotland posted videos just like the ones you've got here.
She covered one of Joe Bonamassa's tunes which he chanced upon and ultimately invited her to join him on stage when he toured through the area. That didn't hurt her career ; )
I realize shit like that happening is rare, but if you're trying to get your name out there...why not?
