Might have 1 opening in a very active keeper league if Slave Famous doesnt end up playing. 10 of the 12 players have been playing in the league for more than 3 years. The keeper format is a bit non-traditional but interesting. Pm me if interested

so is this the advice thread also? got proposed freddie freeman for carlos beltran. i've got votto and goldschmidt at 1B, and a few crumbs in OF so it seems like a decent trade. thoughts?

Beltran could get injured really easily at this point. How many slots are there for 1B players? Are you getting Beltran or Freeman?

I get Beltran, give freeman. I've got one 1B slot and 2 utility, which is where freeman and votto are. After thinking about it I can probably do better, especially after last night

Freeman has less question marks and should have more RBI opportunities than Beltran.

So you drafted Freeman a few rounds before Beltran was taken & are about to trade for him during the 1st week of the season? If you can get a better offer for Freeman then don't trade him

Been offered the following trade:

Justin Upton and trash (Wandy Rodriguez) for KRod, Tony Cingrani, and Adam Eaton

Standard 5x5 roto league and I could use the hitting and OF help. I've got two other closers and I can easily afford to lose Cingrani. Might be a bit stacked in his favor but I think it helps my team overall

I'd do it. Eaton is not going to maintain his production, Upton probably will have a similar year to last year. 30HRs, 30 doubles, close to 100 runs, probably better RBI production than last year, etc. I like Justin Upton this year.

Eaton has been out with a pulled hammy...that's not really the best injury for a guy to have that I'm hoping will be stealing bases and scoring runs. I'll take a saves hit in the short term, but I'll just overbid on the next closer that gets named and be fine...I don't generally carry more than two at a time generally anyways, but one is Rodney who hasn't been getting many chances

Polanco possibly coming up Friday. I grabbed him, Taveras, and Springer. My lineup sucks.

I also lost Jarrod Parker, Jose Fernandez, and now Matt Cain. Started 8-0 and now suck ass.

Who would you rather have, Brock Holt or Josh Harrison? Holt is eligible at 3B and OF, Harrison is eligible at 2B, 3B, and OF. I mainly need help at OF, but I would have to drop Jed Lowrie 2B/SS to make the add so I wouldn't lose any depth there if I went with Harrison. I mainly need more HRs which Harrison leads 5 to 1 vs. Holt.

Am I overthinking this? I should just go ahead and add Harrison right?
