My husband and I are moving to Houston at the end of May and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on good places to live. I'll mainly be working in The Woodlands but will also be going Downtown maybe up to once a week.

Also, he's a structural engineer so if anyone on here is an engineer in Houston, any recommendations on companies to contact?

Thanks!

Eh, I'm in Pensacola now so I don't think the climate is that different - although I will miss our beach.

Eh..what do I know...they just seem to complain about it more than they do in Charleston...which I can't imagine what's worse than 98 degree, muggy, humid heat. At least there's some ocean breeze...don't think they've got that in H-town.

Tell your husband to keep an eye on NASA Johnson Space Center. They don't do much design work down there but I'm sure they have a need for engineers.

cept that JSC is 30 mins to 2 hrs from woodlands depending on traffic. Woodlands is ok, husband shouldnt have trouble finding a job, as long as he doesnt mind a commute. Biggest issue is traffic.

You can cover your house in beer cans and build a roller coaster on your property.
