I'm missing a couple of screws for my dashboard as well as for my door handle on the third door. I went to home depot and really couldn't find anything that matched. does anyone have any recommendations on finding the proper screws? 4/3/2014 9:59:06 PM |

Do you have one of the screws that you need? Like a screw from another location on the dash?
If so, that'd be easy.
If not... Good luck!

Do the junkyard thing first, screws are literally worth almost nothing; the cost is in gas, $1/2 entry fee, and your time. Try fastenal or mcmaster.com , they're expensive as shit but their interface is the tits compared to most other industrial vendors. Maybe you can at least figure out what type it is which would make it easier to procure. If you got a set of calipers here's where they come in handy.

Take the screw to Burke' Brother's off Hillsboro st. They have a lot of odd screw/bolt/nut sizes. At the very least, you'll be able to figure out what kind of size and pitch your screw is if you drop by there and use their thread encyclopedia thing.

LKQ down off 70 in Clayton is usually my go-to place. It's far but the only decently-sized place I know of, there's also an LKQ/Keystone in Durham thats closer to the north side of Raleigh. 4/5/2014 11:50:32 AM |

If you have one of the screws on hand, I'd definitely make a stop by Burke's Brothers Hardware before paying to get into a pick and pull that will charge you much more for the same thing, or worse they don't have an s10 there... 4/5/2014 8:37:19 PM |
