I really wanted to participate in the BBQ contest. Couldn't secure a grill big enough for whole hog

I'm going, but mainly so I can drink in the parking lot for a few hours

If there were no tailgating I don't think I'd ever go to a spring game

damn, that alumni flag football game has a pretty solid roster

when is that game gonna be?

nevermind:

Quote :
"RALEIGH, N.C. - A full slate of activities is planned for this weekend in conjunction with the Kay Yow Spring Football Game, which will kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday at Carter-Finley Stadium. In addition to the action on the field, Super Bowl XLVIII Champion quarterback Russell Wilson will return to have his jersey honored, joining former Wolfpack players from the past seven decades who will be in town for their annual reunion.

The fun begins on Friday evening with the Wolfpack Club’s BBQ Bowl “Kickin’ at the Carter” event in the RV parking lot. In addition to the annual BBQ cook-off, there will be live music by the band Old Habits, food trucks and activities for younger fans in the Junior Wolfpack Club Fun Zone, which will also be open on Saturday.

Parking lots open at 8 a.m. on Saturday, as the BBQ Bowl continues with the “Pickin’ at the Carter” segment from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. At 9 a.m., former players Earl Wolff (Philadelphia Eagles), Tobais Palmer (San Diego Chargers) and Nate irving (Denver Broncos), as well as Staats Battle and Chase Cannon (aka #BattleCannon) from the men’s basketball team will serve as celebrity judges for the BBQ Bowl The band “Doug Clark’s Hot Nuts” will provide musical entertainment.

Stadium gates will open at 10:30 a.m. to give fans a chance to watch the inaugural Wolfpack Football Alumni Game, which will begin at 10:45 a.m. More than 70 former players have signed up to participate in what promises to be a fun event, with former players Mario Williams (Buffalo Bills) and Irving serving as honorary coaches.

Wilson, Irving and J.R. Sweezy will be recognized during the game for their participation in the 2014 Super Bowl, while the 1968 ACC Championship squad will also be honored. Steven Hauschka, who also played in Super Bowl XLVIII, had a previous commitment and will not be able to attend.

Although admission is free, a minimum $1 donation per person is suggested upon entrance, with all proceeds going to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund and the Kay Yow Scholarship endowment.

Parking is free to fans in the following lots: Stadium East, Stadium Southeast, Stadium West, Stadium North and Fairgrounds parking lots, but due to an event at PNC Arena, fans parking in other lots are subject to paying a parking fee. Fans should enter through Gates A, B, C and Westchase."

Holy shit, that alumni game roster is hilarious and awesome at the same time. Brings back good memories of the Rivers era. Koren Robinson, Tremain Hall, TA freakin McLendon. That is going to be some quality entertainment. Also ... wow ...

Please tell me yall know who Erik Kramer is.

Dude started for the Lions and Bears, and is probably the best Lions QB of the past 3 decades, but that doesn't say much.

Looking at that roster, I also see:

Jatavis Sanders- was supposed to start after Barnett, but then that Rivers guy did ok for himself.
Tramain Hall- what did he end up doing after school? He had so much potential but never seemed to break out but also never really flopped. I had a class with him.
Hassan Shamisd-Dean- a historical figure in the annals of bad football!
http://youtu.be/5mtAgTYQfmc

Looking back it doesn't seem as silly since Jonathon Coachman went on to ESPN and Jim Ross used to call for the Falcons, but come on. What does Jerry Lawler know about football?

I see that I'm in after at least one, "We will win" or "We will lose" comment.

The hat made the same joke today on the radio. I ed then. And now.

Is it necessary to use the most obvious and worn out sports joke?

Pretty sure the Titans signed him as an UFA then released him during camp, then the Saints signed him the following year and released him during camp (or maybe it was Saints then Titans). Think he might have played some in NFL Europe too.

34-0 red team won.

Bo Hines had a good day at receiver, but I'm not ready to give him the heisman yet.

it was just the spring game and he had some good catches/routes. Let's wait and see what he does against quality competition.
