Got the extreme package and decided to pay for installation. Any good questions for the technician tomorrow? What do I need to know? I live in a pretty densely populated area, and am concerned about nodes with too many subscribers causing my speeds to drop during peak hours. Anybody have any experience with this?

I am on Extreme right now and yes, Youtube sucks during peak hours, but I've had no problems with netflix, streaming from ABC, FOX, etc at those times.

I was on Turbo and they upped me to Extreme (and new kickass modem/router combo) promotion for the same price.

^^zeroth problem...limited competition among broadband providers

chances are he doesn't even have FiOS, let alone Google Fiber, in his area, and he'd rather not pay more money for the phone company's phone+Internet bundle while he has a perfectly good cell phone and DSL is worse than cable

All I can say is, I hope you're one of the TWC subscribers who will be spun off to Charter as part of Comcast's acquisition of TLC; I think I'll be one of them, and that means less chance of data caps.

In my experience AT&T is just as bad and extremely overpriced. In the triangle area what other alternatives are available.
