So they disable Live support for Halo 2 in April 2011... Just so they can sell it to us again in 2015?

So from some of the gameplay videos it looks like they are taking the liberty to change some things...

Loadouts - Only between pistol/SMG/plasma rifle (thankfully). I was initially worried they were just making Halo Reach crap but honestly I am fine with this, it doesn't change the balance and SMG start was one of Halo 2's flaws IMO. I'm hoping thats as far as the loadouts go for standard Slayer.

Dynamic Map Shit- There is a giant ass bubble shield on Acension, and waterfall view blockers on Sanctuary from what I have seen so far. Halo 2's maps were my favorite from any shooter I have played so I am nervous when these changes are added, but from what it looked like on the videos doesn't look bad.

Graphics - Obviously... shit looks really nice. Campaign on Cairo Station, when the neighboring MAC Platform explodes, looks epic. Campaign has the same "toggle graphics" button like in the Combat Evolved Anniversary.

I'm getting hyped as fuck for this game. Halo 2 is going to end up being my number one game played on Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbone. Not sure if thats Halo 2 being awesome or the recent console shooters sucking ass, prob both. Here is to hoping 343 doesn't shit themselves and ruin a game that will sell millions due to nostalgia alone.

That shit looks like Halo 4 DLC

From my understanding they are making a few maps with updated graphics (sanctuary, warlock, acension, yatta yatta) but there should be a copy and paste version of H2 and H2 multiplayer? I'm hoping that is the case.

Not saying removing armor abilities, sprint, and bloom doesn't make Halo 4 a better game, but I wouldn't sell a Halo 4 MAP pack and call it Halo 2 anniversary.

Everyone wants Halo 2, they don't want 343's interpretation of Halo 2 via modification to Halo 4.

My point is that vid is Halo 4 engine and Halo 4 sound effects/medals/loadouts... I'm probably overreacting but I just want a literal copy and paste of Halo 2 with Live support, the less 343 touches the better.

My point is those vids are Halo 4. It is essentially a H2 MapPack for Halo 4.

Remember the Halo CE anniversary multiplayer? It was just a MapPack for Reach with a few weapon tweaks.

Fortunately I got clarification, there are 6 maps being redone (aka Halo 4) what we see in the vids. The rest is all classic Halo 2, 343 didn't touch it.

From reading 343's multi-player playlists, it looks like only 1 is purely oldschool Halo 2.

The rest is all Halo Anniversary remastered maps aka Halo 4 DLC.

I'm curious how the ranking system will work, hopefully there is a rank that applies to each playlist just like in Halo 2. I am praying they don't fuck it up.
