A combo thread? Alright. After watching the YTW pilot, it really deserves its own thread. I think it's my new favorite comedy. Married was okay. I'll probably stay tuned for a few eps to see if it stays funny.

I actually liked Married better but maybe it's because I'm at a time in my life where I relate to those characters more.

The black dude from YTW is doing a really good Troy from Community impression.

I can relate more to Married and they are growing on me more now. Even after being with my wife over twelve years now, I am still nowhere near that depressed around her. The first few episodes just didn't make me laugh and their marriage was fucking pathetic. I didn't sympathize with him, I just felt sorry for him. 3rd and 4th episodes though I started feeling like they still enjoyed each other. When they fucked up the other guy, when they are trying to deal with their money issues together, they were more of a team and I liked that. The first two episodes were more him trying to get laid and just getting bitched at, which wasn't funny.

YTW I don't identify with at all personally. I just got some good laughs with their attitudes and the shit that they have gotten into. That is what I have enjoyed about that show. It is much less depressing. But again, Married is getting better. I still really like Judy Greer and hope it continues to improve.

married is definitely my favorite of the two, and also one that i've started looking forward to each week. the main couple make a killer duo, and the writing is solid. also, kudos to paul reiser for a decent guest spot last week.

i stopped watching YTW after the second episode. it just didn't do anything for me.

Down a couple episodes on YTW, but I really did enjoy the last episode of Married. I have been in similar situations with my kids going on play dates with their friends from rich as fuck families. Most of them aren't really shitty or anything but I have kinda had similar reactions when going in these massive fucking houses with the friends parents who are 10-20 years older than us. And my wife has a hard time making friends, so this last episode was definitely one that I could relate to more.

All in all I am really starting to grow on Married.

So Married started off strong but I think You're the Worst outpaced them. The setup of YTW just lends to more interesting episodes. When Jimmy became a more sympathetic character the show benefited. He'll probably do something incredibly jealous and assholish next season though.

the YTW finale was great. Really hoping that FX will give it a second season, even if that means dragging Married along with it. I was really hoping for so much more from Married but honestly i grew to really dislike the main couple, especially Judy Greer. To be honest, i really only enjoyed the show for Jenny Slate who is amazing.

^Yea I am in agreement with everybody else. Don't really like the "chemistry" between the couple on Married, which sucks because I have enjoyed seeing Judy since Jawbreaker. I like a lot of black comedy, but the only couple that I genuinely enjoy is Jenny Slate & Paul Reiser.

YTW ended on a great note. I really hope it gets another season. I honestly could care less whether Married gets picked back up though.

Yea, Married is just alright. I think it got a bit better than Season 1, but its still not as good as You're the Worst. We are an episode behind on YtW but I can't wait for them to air and it is our first show we catch up on. This show isn't really the usual type of show my wife likes to watch and even she loves it.

Wow fucking emotional roller coaster of a last episode. I remember when this show started and it was just funny. Jimmy and Gretchen at the end really hit it IMO. Can't wait for season finale.

And yes, everybody should be watching this show. It is fantastic.

I thought season finale was pretty great. Wasn't a huge fan of the Lindsey ending, but the song was rather funny, and a great callback to last seasons finale.
