Just wondering if anyone had the Neo Geo MVS arcade for sell. 1, 2, or 4 slot is fine.

Well... I *have* one, but I can't part with it. Way too much sentimental value.

I'm not expert, but that thing looks like it's worth a lot more than $300 , especially given said sentimental value.
Have you tried those video game auctions in winston salem? Think they happen every 4 months or so.`

Um... yeah, that won't do it. It's in immaculate condition. I just can't part with it. Way too many good memories.
The entire thing was rebuilt when my friends got it for me for graduation. New OEM CRT monitor, new audio, custom console, and new controls. They also got me King of Fighters '94 and '95 and Samurai Shodown III (the current marquee) since I used to play those religiously back when Starcade used to be on Hillsborough. I've since gotten KOF '96, '97, and SSIV on my own. First year I ever taught high school, I dragged the whole thing out to the fall festival and set up a "beat up your teacher" booth with the prize being $20 Best Buy gift cards if you could take me down. I made more money than any other event that year... and only lost two games. 10/8/2014 6:47:29 PM |

No problem Axelay. Have you found a source for addition carts besides buying them online?
Thanks synapse. I just looked at the results from 2014. There was a 1,2,and 4 slot that all sold under $300. So I'll hold out until the December 13th one and hope there is one for sale. 10/10/2014 12:03:48 AM |

I have had some very spotty luck with buying carts. Almost 1/3 of the ones which I have bought (or attempted to buy, but returned) in the last 10 years have been reflashed ROMs. I've learned some very hard lessons about always asking if the cart is 100% untampered original OEM. I will say in eBay's defense that they've backed me up every time I've had an issue with a cart which was supposedly legit but turned out to not be. Because I had done enough research and could provide documentation of what I received not being what was claimed, they were willing to side with me and actually banned some of the sellers with whom I had tried to do business. Even when an auction claims that the cart is OEM, I am still extremely skeptical - especially when I see it's located outside of the USA and there are no refunds. I haven't wanted to buy a cart in years because of this. I still want all of the Metal Slug games, but I am unsure of what to trust anymore. 10/11/2014 7:14:26 PM |

it's the difference between a rolex and a folex. they both tell time, but you don't want to pay top dollar for a fake. 10/16/2014 9:23:24 PM |

In some cases, I'm sure a lot of people would be ok with one that is tampered with. But you certainly would only want to pay the appropriate price for it and not the untampered price for a tampered one. And some people(perhaps Axelay) just want to have a fully OEM setup just because. I'm not sure I can explain why that is desirable, but I can understand that. 10/17/2014 7:16:16 AM |
