At 3-6-1, and in 2nd place in the NFC South, it may seem as if the Panthers are a virtual lock to make playoffs. I'm here to say otherwise. The Panthers have an extremely hard schedule coming up: ATL, @MIN, @NO, TB, CLE, @ATL. In that list of games, I see 2 definite losses in there (@NO and CLE). And don't think that CLE will rest up for playoffs, they didn't last year and they won't this year. CLE is hott right now and Charlotte is getting cold, that is a definite loss. Now let's look at the others. TB: hott team coming off of a loss that has been shutting down the pass lately ( Hoyer - 2 ints, Ryan- 219 yds and 1 TD which is pretty low numbers for him; other teams to keep him to those totals were CIN and BAL). Not to mention that TB has been pretty good stopping the run lately. I give Panthers a loss here. Next, ATL on FOX. Matt Ryan owns the Panthers. Simply put. Ryan has won this contest 5 out of the last 8 times they have played each other, and with a very strong Falcons team right now, I don't expect anything different. Next, @MIN. Giving the Panthers a win here, but this game will be very tough. MIN just beat WAS in WAS and they look to be coming back to their early season form, plus Captain Munnerlyn will be healthy by the time this game is played and Olsen will be invisible. I give Panthers this win tho, barely. Next, @ATL, giving Panthers this win as well. I think the Falcons suck and Panthers will be more determined to win because they are fighting for a playoff berth, but this again will be a tough game because it is away.
In summary, the Panthers just have an extremely tough schedule and I'm sorry for you guys but it just isn't going to work out like you think this year. They have been a benificiary of an extremely easy schedule and they have shown a drop off in play lately. Not to mention with Arizona a lock for #1 seed and Eagles, Lions, Packers, Seahawks, and now the Cowboys all breathing down their neck with easier schedules, the future looks dim unfortunately for the Panthers. This season for the Panthers will end as one of the biggest blown opportunities ever, and it will happen, but it isn't the Panthers' faults playing bad so much, its just that schedule. They have never been good this whole season, they got an easy early schedule and now it will show. 11/11/2014 2:23:07 PM |

as much as I would like for that to happen to wallow in the Panther misery here in Charlotte......I don't think its gonna happen. Panther defense is too good, Cam is coming into his own and the NFC just isnt very good as a whole.
1. Seahawks 2. Saints 3. Packers/Bears/Lions 4. Cowboys/Eagles 5. Panthers 6. fight between 49ers, NFC North and NFC East. Panthers already have 3 wins while the North and East winners would be lucky to get to 8 IMO. 11/11/2014 2:29:30 PM |

Who's trolling now bitchessss? hahaha How are those apples treating you guys? CAROLINA WILL NOT MAKE PLAYOFFS!!! YOU HEARD IT HEAR FIRST!!! and thanks Rally, finally a sensible fan. You sound like someone who knows there football, like myself. Now even after this loss to ATL, Carolina could still make it in, but I see it highly unlikely because they will be losing 3 of their next 4....and Dallas looks good. 11/16/2014 4:17:29 PM |
