Arrow at least sticks to the main themes and stuff behind the Green Arrow character, AKA rich Oliver Queen shooting things with arrows. This new show seems like they are putting a female lead in a crime drama and calling it "Supergirl" even though it seems like it has nothing to do with the DC universe.

Most of that speculation was false. She's from Krypton, she's got her normal powers (x-ray vision, flight, invincibility, strength), and she's Superman's cousin.

Doesn't look as horrible as they made it sound. Still not good.

Looks kinda meh to me. I'll start watching if it gets good reviews. Would be cool if they had a tie in with the Flash or Arrow but that won't happen.

Constantly referring to Superman as anything but is ridiculous. "Him", "Friend in blue", etc. Its ridiculously forced and feels awkward...as bad as when plot is overexplained for the dumb audience.
Nevermind that Kal-El not showing up to at least talk to Kara after she decided to out herself is absurd, as is that he wouldnt offer his services to help capture a ton of super-powered alien criminals...whats he so busy doing? Is he on the moon fighting Nuclear Man? Waiting for the plot of the next movie to start to develop?

If you can get past all of that, it was pretty good.
