I'm trying to wonder if there is any possible way this show could be good. Nintendo is supposedly having a big part in it.

Marco Polo was only like game of thrones in that both were dark, violent, filled with nudity, and expensive to make

This will probably be passable at best. Hopefully Nintendo will give them the freedom to expand and make an interesting cast of characters.

They can definitely make this work, especially as a mini-series. There are also many different Links throughout time and that could turn into different seasons of the show. They could remake the old Nintendo Power comic (12 issues) into one season. A little bit of touching up and a change in pacing for people who don't know the story could turn into something amazing.
