Seriously. We watched a team that defied everyone's expectations. We got to watch players rapidly develop in front of out eyes. For the first time in the Gottfried era we witnessed a team that actually played defense. We are truly relevant again, and we won't be underestimated next season.

With all of the ups and downs, this team had character and played with heart. It was was exciting to watch all year long and I really appreciate them for that.

Great season for everyone involved.

Definitely. Up and down, but very fun season. Really hope we can build and get over the hump of being a perennial bubble team. 4 tourneys in 4 years is awesome and it's been fun. Next year will be a good chance to begin taking the next step forward.

I really think we're on the cusp of something great. This will do wonders for recruiting for the 2016-17 recruiting class and even without that, the guys we have now are obviously capable of taking down anybody. Even Gottfried himself has shown improvement on in-game coaching. We've earned a lot of respect and it's well deserved.

Absolutely proud of this team. They have talent, and equally importantly, they have heart. With only Turner and Lee leaving, all the pieces in place for a fantastic year next year! (Maybe this will be the first year that no one transfers in the offseason?)

however, i remember being so pissed off when we barely lost to kansas. i thought we had that game if it werent for us getting raped by withey down low. once we got back to the s16 this year i got extremely antsy thinking we could get to the elite 8 and beyond.

I won't hate on louisville. they have a HOF coach.

I'm mostly happy that i wear my NC state gear around and people are finally acknowledging us as a legit NCAA team.

^ Agreed!!! My favorite team under Gott for sure. When we had Rich, Zo, CJ, Alex, and Scott, that was a close 2nd.

Might I add, the chemistry these guys have with each other is amazing and you can tell Coach really loves them. I like how he connects with them all. Kyle will get more PT. Coach is making him learn from example like he did with Cat. Love this team.

I just like that nobody on this team is a shithead. They're all really good guys and have great chemistry. The latter half of this season is where I think we'll start off from next season and the sky is the limit for these guys.

the expectations were only low becauase eveyrone expcected what we saw tonight before the season started. Just because we saw better in a few games (4) doesn't mean it was some sort of great season. I'm not saying it was a bad season bu we didn'tr really accomplish a whole lot either.

One can only wonder what the season would have been like with TJ Warren instead of Ralston Turner.

Look im not complaining or anything but this was not a great season. Winning a few games here and there definitely saved our season from being shit but doesnt suddenly make it historic.

Our optimistic fans need a better sense of perspective just like our pessimistic ones do. If gottfried was obama our fans would all beeither fox or msnbc contributors.

We had better seasons under herb And honestly i dont see how anyone can look at this season and see evidence to extrapolate that we'll eventually be in thE final 4. 7th in the acc is not some sort of breakthrough

Its not a bad ceiling im just being real. More talent wont translate into consistency which is what weve lacked. we almost always alternate good performances with awful ones.

Im fine with our progress but im not buying the championship hype until i see evidence. look me in the face and tell me im trolling

This was a good season and exceeded expectations. Who expected us to beat Duke & UNC in the same year and also make the sweet sixteen in the beginning of the season? About a month ago we were a bubble team, and we had a good NCAA run. With most of our guys returning next year we should be much more consistent. I hope Washington stays as he is the big with the most offensive skill sets, he just needs to get more easy paint scoring and take more 3 pointers instead of long jumpers.
