Damn, Louisville basketball players must be ugly, if they have to pay for sex.

LOL, mom and three daughters. That's awesome.

I blame Louisville coeds for not stepping up for the program. Shameful!

I'm a lunatic defender of all Italian coaches.

So consider yourself officially called out for, uh, ethnic prejudice with this "slimy" business.

Until we ridicule the Smiths and Williams in this world, the -vowel guys get a pass.

I don't need any more whipping boys.

I didn't feel like being right yesterday, but "whipping boy" is not an offensive term.

Lol they are so fucked. Ex-recruits confirming now too. Unless they are brain dead they have to if they are still NCAA students (as Lyles is).

This is the end of Pitino for sure and probably will put UL off the top level of college basketball for a while. I guess the positive is that they aren't in Canada like Syracuse so kids might still choose to play there after Pitino is gone.

It is ridiculous. You'd think "hey, I'm a basketball player...may go pro" would be enough to get you some gold diggers.

There's no easier place in America to get laid than at a college campus.

Unless you happen to be a football or basketball player at an American college campus.

makes no goddamn sense.

Nah I can see the logic in it. Hookers are supposed to be discreet about this sort of thing (in theory).

Plus, probably a better lay than an inexperienced college girl.

Hey all they have to do was say the hookers were an opportunity allowed to all students! Its the perfect plan

"Hey, we used local hookers that were already hanging around campus, so all students had the same opportunity to bang a hooker, even if we only advertised the hookers to the basketball players"

This isn't going well for Louisville. Front page of main ESPN site..

We just need wait out K and we can default to best program in ACC. Key is avoiding dumpster fire scandals which the rest of the conference apparently can't.

I'd imagine stuff like this goes on in at least 20% of major programs...although this would appear to be on the very end of the "bad" spectrum. Can't they just find some freshmen hoes from their own school or the local community college?

And maybe put some regular students in the mix too like UNC did with their classes?

^^ I tend to agree but this seems to be a bit different than just having some loose girls around the team for recruiting purposes.

Can't see how Pitino survives this.. UL cares way more about athletics than academics and ethics so I'm sure the program won't stay down long but it's a bad look.

this is what i think...i pretty much expect that plenty of major programs use girls to help recruit. i just don't think most major schools/coaches pay prostitutes to have sex with the recruits. just get some girls from the dance team or something to tag along on a recruits' visit and "show them a good time" or whatever.

I am also a bit shocked by this. If a nerd like me can get laid at a party, then how hard could it possibly be for a 6'3, future-draft-pick with a rockin' body to get some?

If I was a recruit I'd be all about banging the campus sloots but going from high school girls to professional hookers is a big, and grimy, jump. Hell, even as an adult I wouldn't even think about banging a hooker.

so far the only proof against rick pitino is "how could he not know". he'll get out of this without even a slap on the wrist.

^^ that's crazy. He will be held to the new rules that holds HCs far more accountable.

Biggest question to me is whether the NCAA has balls enough to strip 2013 title (which, if allegation is true they should) knowing that opens them up to all sorts of criticism if UNC doesn't need to. My guess is they avoid those questions altogether.

If they stripped a title for this then UNC should be shut down, this is such a non story compared to what UNC has done.

i wouldn't say it's a non-story compared to UNC...these two are really impossible to compare IMO.
