Okay, probably not aliens... but less than 5 minutes ago: Large red linear blinking light pattern moving south from southern Durham. Was banked sharply to the right, then rotated as it moved away to bank sharply left. It was against a southern constellation, maybe spanning 3 degrees of angular view, within 30 seconds it was far less than 1 degree. Seemed fast to me. Never seen an aviation light pattern like that.
Anyone else see? Someone explain.
