It is tasty, as fat usually us. I have never eaten it by itself....is that what you're asking?
My grandparents (and likely their generation) used to cook with it to add flavor to dishes like greens. But yeah...long the healthiest thing. I have found chicken broth to be a suitable substitute for cooking. I don't think I've bought it but one time.

Although pork fat reigns supreme, I prefer chewing on a nice piece of possum fat. Much more chewy and last a last longer. Its like gristle that is a piece of fat. 12/8/2015 8:39:57 PM |
