I don't think this show will work on standard cable. It needs adult language, content, violence, and sex. Although it will be cool to see the Crypt Keeper back.

Yea fuck this! you can't tone down tales from the crypt for cable. I grew up on the HBO show and I credit it for making me the man i am today.

But cable can't do it the right way. It needs to be raunchy and fucked up as all hell to work like the original. You need tit. You need viscera splattered all over, you need fucked up Demon Night type shit.

You can do a lot more on standard cable than you could back when this first came out

South Park has plenty of cursing, The Walking Dead has some pretty graphic violence, etc

as long as it airs after a certain hour, I believe
