Allegedly these sailors were in Iranian waters, which is a violation that can get you killed by NATO (see Turkey)

Senator Tom Cotton is calling for an end to the nuclear deal and military retaliation on Iran if sailors are not returned immediately.

I don't blame him.

It's a deal, a partnership, and understanding...not a "turf" issue.

End the deal...and tell them to release them or we really help Iran figure out where they stand on the nuclear side of the puzzle.

Released. Pretty sure the opening of diplomatic relations with the nuclear deal (no matter how tenuous) had a lot do with that.

You guys realize if we were in the same spot as Iran, say with the Russian flybys if they had engine trouble and ditched and we picked them up, we would do the same. Hold them for a few hours, inspect their gear and send them along.

Obviously this whole Iran sailors being held thing is because we gave a little to Iran in the deal, so now Iran knows Obama is a big pussy and trying to push MOTHER FUCKING AMURICA #1 around!!!!!!!

AM I RITE MY GOP FRIENDS!?!?!?

If George Dubya were back we'd already have leveled Iran into a smoldering pile of Camel shit!

Nvm that the ship inadvertently sailed into Iran waters. If an Iranian ship wandered into US waters surely it'd be 4000 ft under the ocean by now with no sailors for Iran to beg for US mercy.

It's not a new detail that they were in Iranian waters. It wasn't confirmed but that was the claim all along. People Like Tom Cotton don't think international law applies to the US. This is the same as what happened with the Russian jet. The difference is Iran's reaction was much more responsible than NATO's

They were calling for obama to postpone or change the state of the union because of this "crisis". Imagine how these people would behave in a true crisis or if the US faced an actual existential threat.

Cruzs opening statement was that if this happened under his presidency, Iran would feel the full force of American military.

We should have just sent in Team America to rescue the imperiled sailors before they were brainwashed by the Iranians before release!

Quote :
"Although Iranian officials characterized the arrangement as an “exchange,” none of the seven who were granted clemency — six Iranian Americans and one with solely Iranian citizenship — were handed over to Iran, as in a traditional prisoner swap. Instead, U.S. officials said, they were free to decide individually whether to go to Iran.

At least five have chosen not to go, according to their lawyers."

That's interesting.

Quote :
"The Treasury Department said the new sanctions apply to, among others, the Mabrooka Trading Co., based in the United Arab Emirates, and its networks based in that Persian Gulf country and in China. It said they have used front companies to deceive foreign suppliers about the true end-users of “sensitive goods for missile proliferation.”"

I’m in it, because just last week, we’re watching our sailors suffer and be humiliated on a world stage at the hands of Iranian captors in violation of international law, because a weak-kneed, capitulator-in-chief has decided America will lead from behind. And he, who would negotiate deals, kind of with the skills of a community organizer maybe organizing a neighborhood tea, well, he deciding that, 'No, America would apologize' and as part of the deal, as the enemy sends a message to the rest of the world that they capture and we kowtow and we apologize, and then, we bend over and say, 'Thank you, enemy.'

LOL how ironic is it that the freed US marine is from flint? Finally back to live a free life of poisonous water.
