So far so good.

Had maybe the best opening scene ever, lol.

I'm digging it. Love Maggie Siff. Brody isn't as annoying as he was in Homeland.

My wife's high school friend is married to a hedge fund guy who probably works at a real life Axe Industries (or whatever its called). $8 million NY apartment, $6 million house in the Hamptons...dude is like two years older than me. His world kind of fascinates me.

every hedge fund isn't that way. I hate shows like this because people who have no knowledge about this industry now assume that everyone in it is a millionaire

Every NYC hedge fund guy I've hung out with is a millionaire...but I guess that tends to happen when you're hanging out in the Hamptons.

And the show wouldn't be entertaining if they were hanging around hedge fund guys who could barely pay rent. You wouldn't see as many titties.

Most of them will be glad to tell you that they are millionaires. But if you look at their assets, itll tell you otherwise. Also tbh being a low single digit millionaire in nyc is not living the high life. Anyways, just waiting for some more hedge fund hating after this show gets popular

THANKS OBAMA

^I was going to post the same thing. Got that vibe from House of Lies, which I stopped watching 5 minutes in. I'll give this one more episode because of Giamatti.

^^ Axelrod's second hand man is the worst. They're trying to put a little too much of the Boiler Room feel in this. I still enjoy it.

3,000 sq/ft apartment in the City and 4,500 house in the Hamptons means you're a safe multi-millionaire. I know every hedge fund guy isn't loaded, but the guys I've met are.

Like this show but agree about some of the lines being cringe worthy. "Wags" the guy jbrick referenced drops lines like "Looser lips than than my first wife after her second kid" on a regular basis, but the worst for me so far was when they are at the airport going to see Metallica and Axe's buddy said "I couldn't be more psyched if you told me Jillian Barberie was gonna ride my face like American Pharoah." Trying a bit too hard to be over the top vulgar.

I'm poor as fuck and I don't enjoy hanging out with those people...but I do find them very interesting. I seriously think they think they're slumming it when they come down and hang out with us.

Hedge fund's wife came down for the bridge run two weeks ago...said they stopped watching the show because it was too close to the husband's real life. Apparently they're basing it off a real-life story, because he knew a guy who purchased a billion dollar Hampton's house while he was knew he was under SEC investigation.

Still enjoying the show (I think I'm still an episode or two behind). My wife hates Paul Giamatti in this show...and I'm kind of with her. He does a great job of making Rhodes unlikeable. I think most people might be siding with Axe until the whole Secret Santa/Cancer thing (not pro-longing Donnie's life for his "fuck-the-US-Attorney" plan).

The only dude I'm pulling for is the Afro'd DA. That guy is a great actor. Plays subtlety perfectly.

Chuck may be a bigger sociopath that Bobby. When you're such a public figure...how do you not expect people to discover your S&M stuff.

I'll watch this show until its off the air because I'm like that, but it's above average at best.

I thought the finale was pretty good. I like Paul Giamatti in this. Lewis is doing a great job of being a prick as well

^^^I know that living in a crazy expensive home is good if the government's after you.

But I wanna see this "billion dollar Hampton's house."

I don't even know how'd you purchase such a house. And you wouldn't build it either cause there's no way you could sell it. Right?

^ Drunk misremeberings and exaggeration...apparently it was a $62.5 million dollar home:

http://www.forbes.com/sites/morganbrennan/2013/09/04/billionaire-property-portfolio-steve-cohens-castles/#1b0bde7b1ac4

The timeline does match that his fund was under investigation by the SEC during the purchase.

A couple episodes in and enjoying it. But some cringe dialogue at times. I can't view the 2nd in command as anybody other than the weak cook from Breaking Bad.
