GT was hamstrung a bit by Hewitt but they gave Gregory waaay to much time. 3/25/2016 6:00:00 PM |

GT is still paying Hewitt and will be for a couple more years and now they owe a couple years salary to Gregory. Wonder who the hell they will get by offering a five figure salary? Some random high school coach. Stupid move by GT, should have stuck with Gregory for 2 more years and then they would have had cash to throw at a good young coach. They hired Gregory from Dayton, wonder if they would try talking to Archie.

He took Dayton to their highest ranking ever, but couldn't get it done in the ACC. Kinda weird. 3/25/2016 10:44:38 PM |

I find the Kevin Stallings hire by Pitt to be comically bad. Dixon just quit so either they really wanted him/had him high on their list or had zero ambition of landing a young upcoming coach/luring a name coach. Yeah it's not the best location, but it's still an ACC school in a major NE market with limited regional competition for local recruits. It is a better job than at least 5-6 other ACC schools (Clemson, Wake, Miami, BC, VT, arguably FSU). It's probably on par with GT and Miami and in many opinions, probably equal to us.
I am glad as Stallings couldn't consistently win in the SEC, good fucking luck in the ACC fat boy. 3/29/2016 5:07:06 PM |

Pastner to GT. What do you guys think? I'm a little worried but definitely not worried on the level of a Buzz or Larranaga. Worried more on the level of a Leonard Hamilton or a Brad Brownell. 4/8/2016 10:28:53 AM |

Memphis has gotten steadily worse under Pastner. He rode the coattails and success of Calipari for the first 4 years, but he is clearly nothing special. Another mediocre ACC hire. 4/8/2016 10:33:36 AM |

Why couldn't Georgia Tech get a better coach? Are candidates for the job intimidated by Duke/UNC/Virgina/State? 4/8/2016 10:42:52 AM |

Pastner is terrible. He'll get a couple ATL kids to stay in town but I doubt it'll matter. Dude has real Sidney Lowe potential though it'll likely be better than that. 4/8/2016 11:48:30 AM |

Man, he's nowhere near that bad. Sidney Lowe is legitimately the worst head basketball coach of all time. (Taking into account both college and nba)4/8/2016 3:13:44 PM |

Shit I'd take keeping Gregory for another 2-3 years over Pastner. I really don't see why he was ever so hyped up?
