rigged debates
rigged questions
rigged candidates
rigged networks

they won't spend much time talking about issues and some of the most important issues will never be mentioned, especially the ones that the two candidates agree on. the moderators will try hard to dumb down the debate into reality tv by asking typical questions about faith, family, and personal history so that the focus is distracted away from policy and onto personality.

There will be an audible gasp as legions of Clinton detractors release decades of frustrations in a communal orgasm. Those same legions, their pants still warm and sticky, will take to the internet and gloat about the erotic thrill of witnessing Hillary's humiliating end. Hours later Trump will tweet: "Appreciate the congrats for locking up the election!"

Wonder what politifact would classify that as on their "Truth-o-meter"

This debate actually sounds like it is biased towards Trump already. They won't let her have an elevated platform, and they are saying that no breaks are allowed.

She sat through an 11 hour Benghazi hearing with only 2 breaks. JTFC, I don't know if this shit is serious concern or wishful thinking at this point.

^^I can actually see the platform thing helping Clinton. As a woman I don't think it's to her advantage to appear physically imposing. And if she's visibly smaller, it highlights Trump's bullying. There's got to be some undecideds out there who will finally get it with the visual of a loudmouth shouting at a little old woman.

If Hillary gets an elevated platform to stand on, does Trump get a smaller podium and microphone so that his hands look normal?

Which happens first tonight? Trump loses it and starts saying something beyond stupid or Hillary short circuits? Odds that both of these happen? At the same time? Maybe I'll just watch MNF instead.

I honestly don't know how Hillary stops herself from going on a rage fueled tirade against not only Trump, but the entire fucking nation of voters for forcing her to prove herself against a dipshit with zero relevant knowledge or experience to the job they're auditioning for. "Yeah, you've spent your entire adult life working and preparing for this moment, but here's a cardboard dummy with peeling orange paint, why do you deserve this job more than it?". Jesus fuckng christ America.

^ it's democracy.

If you don't know how to communicate with the plebian masses, you're not going to be successful.

Yeah, to anyone with a working brain, Trump should not be an acceptable option, but in a democracy, we can't just dictate that dumb people have no vote (but the primary process was created to filter out someone like Trump). This is what the electoral college was created for, although it can't serve this purpose anymore.

It's up to Clinton to figure out how to tailor her message to these idiots. If she takes the attitude you have into the debates, she'll lose, and based on her "basket of deplorable" comment, her advisors don't seem to have figured this out yet.

It might seem beneath her, but she needs to make her message clearer and easier to understand.

I love how everyone just assumes that intelligent people aren't voting for Trump. That kind of arrogance is what is causing Hillary to be even with Trump right now, and it's that kind of arrogance that is going to cost her the election.

^ that's not an assumption. That's a statistical fact.

Trump's support is built almost entirely on uneducated whites and white christians.

Educated whites, non-evangelicals, and minorities are against trump (especially minorities)

No fortune 100 CEOs had donated to Trump's campaign (so far), which is unprecedented (especially considering he's proposing the lower tax rate for their businesses too).

Trump's resemblance to Orange Hitler is entirely dependent on how much school and church you've had.

corporations don't agree with nationalism and racism because its bad for (thier)business. trumps campaign is about lifting up this country for "real americans" at the expense of the rest of the world. At least that is the message. Manufacturing jobs just happen to appeal to those with less education not because they are not intelligent but because they have a "me first" attitude and those are the type of jobs that would be for them.

People with less college can't just waltz into the type of jobs being created in today's economy. don't read this post as a defense of trump. I disagree with the solution but the problem is there is no upward mobility and liberal elites are so out of touch that they interpret the cause of the nationalist movement as stupidity instead of desperation.

You continue to bring up the hitler comparisons while ignoring the underlying economic forces analogous to the conditions that led to his rise.

Quote :
"
1. Hitler was a great speaker, with the power to make people support him.
2. The moderate political parties would not work together, although together they had more support than the Nazis.
3. The depression of 1929 created poverty and unemployment, which made people angry with the Weimar government. People lost confidence in the democratic system and turned towards the extremist political parties such as the Communists and Nazis during the depression.
4. The Nazi storm troopers attacked Hitler's opponents.
5. Goebbels' propaganda campaign was very effective and it won support for the Nazis. The Nazis targeted specific groups of society with different slogans and policies to win their support.
6. Hitler was given power in a seedy political deal by Hindenburg and Papen who foolishly thought they could control him.
7. German people were still angry about the Treaty of Versailles and supported Hitler because he promised to overturn it.."

Look familiar?

(Wow, I just wrote a "victimhood narrative" for trump supporters. Guess I'm a true SJW)

I type Hitler because it's more fun to say than xenophobic authoritarian moron. I think a direct comparison between them is unfair .... to Hitler.

Hillary and Trump going back and forth about whose dad was better.

I can't wait to hear about how both of them are going to kill domestic jobs.

And holy shit, Trump actually has cogent answers about economic policies. Did he really just talk about VAT?

Also, Trump must have done a few bumps in the back and a whole bottle of nasanex.

I mean, it's a shitty idea, they're both just espousing different variations on economic protectionism, which is about as useful as pissing into the wind. It's a global economy, there's nothing you can do to change that.
