TLDR: go get gas asap and prepare for worse shortages than last time. 11/1/2016 1:56:03 PM |

TLDR: Just like last time the media is going to cause panic and a buying frenzy where everyone decides to fill up at one time, causing a shortage. 11/2/2016 12:20:25 AM |

I already filled up my gas guzzling GMC Yukon so it can sit outside while I work from home. 11/2/2016 11:03:06 AM |

Yeah sucked I actually needed gas yesterday. Went by 2 gas stations, both lines out into the road. Craziness. 11/2/2016 11:17:21 AM |

If people would just go about their business in a normal fashion there would not be any issues. Agree with the comment about the media causing unnecessary panic. 11/2/2016 11:33:07 AM |

^^^where do you live?
Gas stations on South Saunders last night looked pretty normal when I pulled into the Shell to fill up the tank. 11/2/2016 1:08:06 PM |

naw, I was on south saunders last night about 1 am and there were no lines and the stations that were open had gas.
I filled up and won't have to move the truck till Sunday so I'm good. 11/2/2016 1:23:16 PM |

I've filled my truck up twice this week with no problem and probably will again tomorrow, hopefully also no problem. This is definitely a self fulfilling prophecy though, if everyone would just fill up like normal there would probably be no issue 11/2/2016 7:38:36 PM |

It will be just like last time... for the most part it wont be an issue until it becomes an issue and then it will snowball. Once you start to see stations running out word will pass around facebook and then it becomes a mad rush. 11/3/2016 8:09:37 AM |

A madhouse trying to get gas, during rush hour? Certainly you jest
Seriously though, gas stations are usually somewhat busy during rush hour...11/3/2016 8:26:46 AM |

If only it would jump faster, we might just avoid the shortage. The ideal would be to jack it up suddenly and shockingly, say 50 cents, then lower it a few pennies a day as stations figure out their supply. The hope is to convince everyone that fuel will absolutely be available in the future and most certainly at a lower price. The few that don't get the message will pay through the nose for fuel today, while the sensible people just wait, buy just want they need today, and save money by filling up at the lower future prices.
But, alas, price gouging laws are a thing and are retroactive once the governor makes it so...raising prices today can get you investigated tomorrow. Better to just sell out and avoid the expense and hassle.
